Pet Technology Software - Pup to Date Puppy Schedule

Since my last pet tech overview, where I addressed the best dog training apps for iPhone and Android, there has been a ton of interest to know what else is out there to automate the dog training journey.

If you’re anything like me, I’m sure you want to know the best app to help you train your dog with positivity and organization. In this post, I will discuss my experience with the Pup-to-date app, which allows you to train daily, even when not at home.

The founder of a new dog app called Pup to Date, reached out to have me review their product, which is a helpful tool to organize your dog training. I’ve been using the app for about two weeks now, and it has been a force multiplier in the way I track my routine with Disney.

I’ll be talking about my Pup to Date experience in three parts: Firstly, I’ll be talking about Pup to Date, what it is, and why you should use it. And what some of the main features of the app are; secondly, I’ll show you some of the paid features in Pup to Date and how you can use them to supercharge your training; and finally, I’ll show you how I use Pup To Date to organize my routine with Disney.

What is Pup to Date?

This app is all about keeping you and your pup organized, both at home and on-the-go. As a self-professed productivity guru, this app could not be more fitting for this purpose. If I had to describe it, it’s an app that helps you track the last time you took your dog out for a potty break, watered them, fed them, etc. It allows you to customize your activities and tasks with user-selected emojis and notes, has built-in functionality for reminders, and integrates with your Apple Watch.

Paid Features

There is a one time $5.99 in-app purchase to track unlimited events (to help keep the servers running!), but I think it’s well worth the money if you want to maximize the potential use cases for this piece of pet tech software.

Use Cases

Studies have shown that sticking to a schedule and using positive training methods set you and your puppy up for a great life. This app aids you in doing just that. It’s simple and easy to use! It was beneficial for us to organize our routine. When we tested the app for this review, I think it would have been particularly useful to solidify my German Shepherd Dog, Disney’s routine when he was a puppy. Much of it is muscle memory by the time you have an adult dog.

Studies show that training is easier for you and your dog if you stick to a strict schedule and use a positive method.

Future App Development

There are tons of things the developers are hoping to add in the upcoming months, such as weekly/monthly reminders, Apple Watch app enhancements, and more! What is cool is that they welcome the community’s feedback on your experience with the app and any feature requests.

Dingle Days’ Suggestions

I have no issues with building a plane while it’s in flight and helped other developers in the past bring their pet training applications to life. What I would like to see in the future:

• Add the ability to sync with other users

• Add integrations with native iOS apps (such as the calendar app)

• Add the ability to export the data and filter for aggregation

• Add ability to share routines

• Add in-house-provided routine suggestions (by age, breed, activity, and/or training)

• Co-op with dog training professionals for some premium routine options

• Make the app more “social.”
